MOAR mascots from Sakura Con's contest! We're not quite at the halfway point yet...
Okay, so not to be bais or anything but this was probably my favorite of all of them. If there is one thing I have learned from dA is that I can NEVER tell what you guys will like. lol! Anywho, this one was a lot of fun. I got to play around a lot with the design on the kimono and the lineart. I liked doing exagerated line widths so it may show up again.
came up with a name and description for this one. Thanks, hon! Ichisumi - A valuable and desired young woman, Ichisumi thrives to be the number one Geisha in the Kyoto district. Not just because of her dazzling beauty, but also her kind heart. Those who seek her company, can feel her warmth as she passes them by.

This is gorgeous! I would be SO happy to see this on everything at SakuraCon. I feel that traditional Japanese culture is really lost on a lot of fans today and that they don't seem to understand the country that they so idolize.
This picture represents to me what the fandom should be.
Besides that, the colors are GORGEOUS and the skyline of Seattle on the kimono was a great idea. I love it!
Squee! *glomps* Thank you! I'm really glad you like it. A couple of the staffers (who I can't name XD) told me that they wanted it to win cause the colors would be fun to play with in the conbook. The best part was they told me that not knowing that I drew it.
