Wahoo! PCC is this weekend! If you are in Phoenix stop by booth 410 (DESUDESU de Studio) and say hi to Lori and me!

Unrelated story time!
Once upon a time my sister's bff was being romanaced by her then-bf-now-husband. He looked adoringly into her eyes while stroking her cheek and said, "wow, Toni, your skin is so soft. Like a whale's."

Prints available! Send a note or see main page for details!

Pose from old issue of Sports Illustrated.
Copic markers/multiliners and color pencil.
Rogue is from Xmen

Hi there! Proportions are excellent; physique-wise, her shoulder-to-bicep area is VERY well done! You've captured her youth and feminine shape (the belt at her hip suggests tightness, which is good). The brown hair is textured well, although the white part loses a bit of that. What I like most about it is the suggestion of fingers in her hair, though. Colours are solid, shading is well executed. The muted background doesn't draw the eye away from the focus, but still offers a feeling of dynamic power. I've seen plenty of buxom Rogues, but this is believable and normally proportioned. The less-is-more approach to her costume is good. The only thing I would ask for a slightly different approach to would be the tops of the boots; I know superhero boots are likely tight-fitting, but something suggests there's a bit of definition missing there. They look like they're very thick material. The shine on the metal belt is great, although my eye thought the belt strap looks more like wood than leather... maybe a few less horizontal lines? The face, which is always the toughest part, is wonderful: her sweet expression belies the dangerous nature underneath. She looks the right age, too, which some artists have some trouble with. All in all, I'm a fan. You've done some great work here!
