The dead tree swaying
Chilling winds that make it dance
Shuddering, it snaps.
The three trees are split
But are growing together
Misshapen triplets.
Brittle leaves hanging
Like dried cocoons from branches
It clings like a child.
A paint gun battle
Echoes through the winter fields
Whoops of victory
A leaf on the wind
Flying diagonally
It trembles alone
